There once was a very smart man named Webster. He wrote a dictionary, which we follow till this day. He chose which words to put in. I had no say in it at all.
Now I am limited by the words he claimed to be English, proper. While I don't have such a problem with this, for he chose good words that truly help me express my feelings, I think he missed out some very crucial words. Well, now all that is about to change. Enter Altie. (Drumroll please.)
There are many words we use in our daily lives that are in fact, not words at all. At least according to Webster. But to me, they are words. To me, they have a definition, and an important place in my vocabulary. Maybe I'll start my own dictionary. It will have words in it like:
Meh: an emotional state. neither happy, nor sad. It is neutral. Like Meh, whatever.
Ish: sort of.
Bla: no definition.
Ness: a state of mind. This is really a suffix to words such as, tirednessnessness.
Now I can turn my nose up at Webster and say, you knew a lot, buddy, but you didn't know it all.
Feel free to add your own original words.
How about a little accurate history too?
ReplyDeleteno silly, I expect YOU to provide that.
ReplyDeletedude, start your own dictionary, that way you wont have to do any of that "waiting" u talking about, everyone will be waiting on you,(and by waiting I mean serving delicious food in an ode to your making non grammatically correct "words" acceptable to use)
