Stop complaining!!!

There was once a group of girls, about 40 of them. Now these girls had a problem. It was quite a big problem, if I do say so myself. As for the solution- there either was none, or no one could find it. What was their problem, you ask? Aaaah, well, these 40 girls loved to complain.

They didn't just complain once in a while. They didn't just complain when it was warranted. They complained ALL OF THE TIME! Now you get my drift? It was quite annoying to listen to.

They complained about going to class, and about the food they got for supper. They complained about people staying in their apartments, they complained about what time they had to come back after shabbos. In short, thats all they loved to do, all the time.

What to do? Ear plugs? Risk telling them to shut up and grow up, and get evil glares for saying it?

This is not to say that I don't ever complain. But in my humble opinion, I complain about things of much greater importance.

Thank G-d it's all over next week.

  1. Hey, it's like yeshiva. Just be happy there's no second year, because then you'd hear the constant refrain, "Last year was so much better!". Rule of thumb: Last year was always better.

  2. That's exactly how I feel, being in a high school full of girls five times a week. I only see them in school, and that's already an overdose.

And yes, you can risk telling them to shut up and grow up. I've done that once or twice. I got evil looks but they went right back to complaining anyway.

  3. interesting... i saw the israeli movie jellyfish which touched on this very topic. complaining. one vignette in the movie was a newlywed couple and the wife complained about everything.
its easy to get caught up in that web of complaining, but its dangerous as well .

  4. They were probably really bored with their lives at the time, and so, made life a little bit more complicated than it really was. Welcome to the lives of teenage girls. It's gonna be a wonderous ride! (I'm being sarcastic).
