You think you are finished with all of that. Petty fights? Who has time for it? Tears, emotions, all those things you think you have left behind in your youth.
But apparently, there is always room for that. A child shall forever remain a child, just as a parent will always be a parent.
Each day is a new page, each fight is a new draft. You can tear it out, rip it up, throw it all away- but you can never get rid of it.
If life is a story- then mine is still being written.
Well, one thing you did not realize is that parents are also children and their stories are being written just like yours.
ReplyDeleteI did realize that. Sometimes I just don't want to hear it. I want to be selfish and say, I'm the child now, focus on me, not you.
