Every day is a winding road... and sometimes you make it around the bend, and sometimes you land back where you started... and sometimes you don't move from your place at all.
Everybody gets high... everybody gets low... You can't control it. You just gotta take it.
Well I finally took a step forward. I applied to Touro, so IY"H I will be taking classes next year. A step in the right direction. Now I just need a job...
I know there are people who don't 'approve' of my decision. What am I supposed to do about that? You can't please everyone, so learn to please no one but yourself. In the end of the day, only YOU have to be happy about your decisions, because you are the one that has to live with them.
No one knows where they will end up. No that's not true. We know what the end is, we just don't know when to anticipate it. But life is full of decisions, and it's okay to switch tracks, even very quickly. If you let yourself feel like you are stuck, you won't go anywhere at all.
And what do we learn from all of this? 'Live life.' Cuz that's really all we CAN do.

Though I suppose you meant only You to the exclusion of other people... which also would be inaccurate. It is important ideally for your family and friends and klal yisroel to have nachas from you. That being said you shouldn't avoid doing something that is right just because it may upset people.

I don't understand this whole concept of people getting upset about this. I mean, I know some do, but why? Probably because you're not doing what THEY would do. pfffff

No, because I don't really care to make my family proud. Friends, maybe. And klal yisroel? Ha! I don't think anyone really cares what I do or don't do.
Doing something that is right... if you are referring to going to college, and the fact that some people don't agree with that decision, then I think the issue is contraversial. That's the point. Some people would say that for a girl to go to college is a negative thing rather than positive.
And a about a job... I'm working on it!! Do you know anyone who wants to hire me? So far, no one!
Chanalia- no, only some of those lines are borroed, plus I changed them cuz I don't think it's a great song... I couldv'e written it better.
Staples: actualy, deciding what to study was the easy part! I already knew for a while what I really wanted to do.. and that is, psychology, and English. Yes, I'm very excited abt those 2 subjects.
How could they not have nachas? I never do anything to please anyone, because in the end, no one really CARES but you. No one will care if I fail, and no one will care if I succeed, and I am the only one who will push myself to do this, if I decide I really want it, and I can only rely on myself. And G-d.
People getting upset... it is mainly friends who care about me, but have an entirely different opinion than I do about girls going to college. And I have an opinion on that, but it's a whole nother topic, so if you want to know, ask me about it. Maybe I'll post about it...
I'm looking for a job, I plan to do well and make something of myself! :) And if I do become famous someday, I'll tell everyone about your blog, and that you were one of my supporters!!
