SUMMER!!! and stuff

Summer comes,
Spring wanes,
along with it comes sunshine rains.

The temp is hot,
the guys are not,
in the pool we want to stay.

I've got to work
no time to play
for me this ain't vaca-
tion.

Rise at seven
kids and camp
no time for a nap.

Burnt we get
like barbecue
faces red and peeling.

No sunscreen?
That's just dumb
tanning like a beach bum.

No plans for next year
but who cares
forget about it now.

Relax, let loose
enjoy the sun
have some summer fun.

Three months it is
until it ends
and then the fall comes again.

The ant and the grasshopper
like in the French fable
La cigale et la fourmi
on my kitchen table.

Danced and sang
all summer long
the inevitable I did prolong.

The time has come
to move on, but-
damn I've got no job.

  4. Maybe five min. a day of serious effort on a job will do it? Just be consistent. Have you tried Girls Placement? http://www.shluchim.org//main/inside.asp?id=847

  5. Hello anonymous person who is trying to give me advice for my life which you know nothing about.

That was mean. I know, I'm sorry. Yes I tried that, I go on there every day. I am not really worried about not finding a job, I have some options just nothing definite yet.

This poem was supposed to be funny. Iy'h I will find a suitable job for next year. Thank you oh anonymous one for your help.

  6. Im sorry
    "La cigale et la fourmi"
    is french? not latin.
Although the fable is not French itself but belongs to Aesop of 6th century BC Greece.

  8. hmm.
it seems like my comment will be dull, if it cannot be in prose.
but based on the rhyme schemes, it is clear, that any pattern goes:

The French I know is censored, and I only know Pig Latin.
Try getting a job in Brooklyn, or the big city of Manhattan.

For my summer camp, it's a pain: I must rise at six.
I pray for only friendly goats, and not so many ticks.

The sun is baking hot, and always in your eyes.
I'll be there; now you know, that there will be hot guys.

Im Yirtzah Hashem, both our summers, will go down without a hitch.
That's all for now, goodnight moon, from A Bochur In Lubavitch!

  11. I disagree with the Luc De Clapier. That's not always the case.

  12. What are you referring to? the fable?

  13. oh I never even read those. I'm not even sure I understand what it means, so I dont know why you disagree with it but you are free to do so.

  14. patience doesn't need to be the art of hoping. many times, I wait for something that I know is coming, or even that I know when it is coming. There is no hope involved, only patience.
Patience is just the art of not getting antsy, or ADD.
