I didn't even
really listen
when you spoke.

Because

And I said
That's nice of you
to think of me.

But I stopped listening
when you said
summer job.

Because
it wasn't
what I was looking for.

And it's ironic
that I saw you
two days later.

And I got the job
the one you told me about
the one I didn't even listen to.

And I think
I got my sign
after all.
