In the now

I sit here in my cozy sweatshirt that has my name on the front of it and says CGI Fox Chapel Staff on the back, the one we got as a gift from the shluchim, not missing camp at all. Ok maybe a little bit. I miss the campers, but I am glad it is over, and now I can sleep during the day, stay up till all hours of the night, and basically waste my days away. Yay.

  1. Sleep AND stay up?
    Now that's multitasking!

  2. *Sleep during the day.

Someone else up at 4 am. How surprising.

  3. Enjoy :) I was wondering why you were on gmail!

  4. So which one is the real Altie?

  5. All. None. Not sure what you are referring to but I don't think there is a 'real' Altie. I am kind of a mixture of this and that.

  6. Is Altie a motivated leader who tirelessly manages a bunch of counselors/campers for six weeks straight, or is Altie a night owl who wastes her days away?

Maybe what you're telling me is that they're both you, and I'm just trying to makes heads and tails of that.

  7. Maybe I am trying to figure it out myself.

    Why can't I be both?

  8. I guess if you don't know for sure yourself, then you can't expect me to know either. After all, you know yourself a little better than I do :D

You can be both, perhaps you are.

  9. I never imagined anyone else besides myself would care.

Either way, one does not reflect the other. I can be a super dedicated hard worker when I have a job, and a lazy do-nothing night owl when I don't have a job.

Why do I feel like I am having a job interview?

    ReplyDelete
  10. I dunno.

    Why do you?

  11. Those are the kind of questions one would ask in an interview. What kind of person are you. Etc.

Never mind. Let's leave the analyzing to me.

  12. Now I'm analyzing that...

On one hand, it's your blog, so I should respect your wishes.

OTOH, I want to analyze too, why is it okay for you to keep it all for yourself?

  13. oy. if you are up at 3 am with nothing better to do then i say go for it. let's see what you can come up with.

(i'm not sure i even know what we are talking about anymore but a challenge is a challenge.)

  14. Gah, when you capitulate/acquiesce so quickly it's no longer fun.

I guess I don't understand why you feel like a job interview, and why you expect me to be able to explain why you feel that way :)

  15. This is completely off topic, but this painting is currently my favorite work of art.

  16. Wow, you could have just said 'give in so easily' and saved me atrip to dictionary.com. Thanks for enriching my vocabulary.

I never expected you to explain. I asked it as a rhetorical question, partly sarcastic, meaning, why are you asking me so many questions.

Anyway, this isn't the time nor the place for a 'farbrengin'.

  17. Totally random. Would you like me to analyze that for you?

A couple and a lone guy at a bar in Philadelphia, judging by the name Phillies. Late at night.

Dunno, I'm not much one for art.

Oh, here is my protethts. 'Oh no, in no way are you allowed to analyze anything I say or do. Unless you pay me a trespassing fee. Otherwise I will bring you to court where you will be held in contempt.

    Something like that.

  18. Words are fun, anywhere, anytime.

For the record, I only asked one question (which I later paraphrased, albeit verbosely). Your rhetorical responses were in-kind, since my initial question was rhetorical as well.

  19. It's 3 am, keep it simple.

    Verbosely: characterized by the use of many or too many words;

    A rhetorical conversation. Interesting.

  20. Ok, simple observations I noticed while viewing the aforementioned painting:
    - The windows all look different.
    - The lighting/shadow effects are awesome.
    - The bartender keeps a neat bar.
    - The guy to the left seems lonely/contemplative.

Oh, and one last dose of analysis for tonight: Your statement made me wonder, what is the right time/place for a farbrengen of this nature?

  21. The windows all look exactly the same. And the one in the shop is completely glass.

You are very observant. Almost as if you have a painters eye.

To answer your question: Probably never. Especially with certain parties.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I was referring to the second floor windows in the building to the left.

Never is such an ominous word.

With that, I say Gut Voch, and goodnight.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Wow I never would have noticed such slight differences.

Not if it is prefaced by the word 'probably'.

    Same to you.
