February 14

February 14 is a day like any other. It doesn't mean much to me, it is just another day on the calendar.

To some people, February 14 is called Valentine's day. It comes hand in hand with red hearts, chocolate, flowers, and other cutesy stuff. People buy each other gifts, perhaps jewelry, they give out cards to tell their loved ones how much they mean to them.

I always figured, why concentrate it all on one day? Show the love by spreading it out throughout the year, and making sure to say I love you every day, in different ways.

Nobody asked me to be their valentine, but that's okay. There is a lot more to life then red hearts and candy.

Happy February 14.

P.S. Chocolates would be nice.

  1. I know this is not the point but i really want some of that chocolate :)
Don't you always here that from married couples "we have been married for 20 years and i still love him/her as much as the day we married" Well if you were together for 20 years should you not love your spouse even more? On the 14th they celebrate the never changing love although it should. IDK.

Happy Christian holiday to you too.

  2. Lol if I get any chocolate I'll share with you. Or better yet, you buy some and share with me.

Well love should get deeper, but it doesn't change. Love has levels but it stays the same. I think you understand it more than you are letting on.

In all the stores a recording is playing: Today is not a day to say I love you, it is to say, I love us. (And then they want you to buy their product to prove that love.)

  3. here, it's 'kill yourself cause you're alone day', or at least you would think it was from the amount of fb statuses that popped up in my news feed like that! it's a pretty funny day, but it can be cute.
