We went to a radio station today, WQED. They started off with an introductory speech and video. When I found out that the show Mr. Roger's neighborhood was taped there my mouth dropped open.
They still have the original tree and castle that was used in the show.
I miss it, because it was a part of being a kid. Forget Disney Land, this was way cooler.
Take your favorite hero, tv character, book, singer, idol, times it by 5.
Hello World. I went to Mr. Roger's neighborhood!!
The image isn't showing :(
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how powerful our childhood memories are. The things we remember (and the way in which we remember them) from a time when everything in our lives was larger-than-life.
It is showing on my computer. Try this link: http://www.tvacres.com/images/trains_rogers_trolley3.jpg
ReplyDeleteTrue. Sometimes I wish I could go back there. To a time when we played house and tried to fake a British accent; when we played outside and our biggest worries were coming in for the night; when we had hair pulling fights; played with dolls;
I liked Barney too. Even though my campers sing 'I love you, you love me, lets get together and kill Barney.' So sad.
To be a child again. Oy.
